Global economy more severely affected by corona crisis than by the financial crisis

Mar 25, 2020

Representatives of the microtechnology industry expect that the coronavirus pandemic will have a more severe impact on the global economy than the economic crisis in 2008/2009 - 68% of the surveyed members of the IVAM Microtechnology Network expect so. This is the probable outcome, because this time it is not primarily the financial sector that is affected, but the entire real economy. A tightening of protective measures, in particular a complete curfew, would further intensify the effects in the medium term.
